Frothy Monkey is a Nashville staple. Born in the now infamous 12 South neighborhood, “Frothy” is favorite for locals and tourists alike. They have a diverse coffee menu and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering something for almost anyone.
Each location of Frothy is a little different. 12 South is cute and cozy, whereas Downtown is darker and a little edgy (and close to the giant Nashville Public Library!), and The Nations is the perfect study and remote working destination. If you’re visiting from out of town, I’d definitely recommend trying out the location in 12 South and visiting nearby shops while you’re there. If you’re a local, definitely go to the Nations (you might even see me there).
I would recommend getting the Brunch blend, if you’re a black coffee kinda girl/guy, or the Turtle Latte for a beautiful chocolate hazelnut creation. As for food, you really can’t go wrong, but I typically get the Farm Breakfast or a Quesadilla. If they have cinnamon rolls when you go (which they only typically have on the weekends), GET ONE. It looks like any old cinnamon roll, but it’s NOT. It’s incredible.
